Being an English Leader within the St Helens Teaching Schools Alliance and Leigh Lowton and Golborne Schools (LLG),I have been extremely lucky to work alongside Maddy for several years now. Maddy’s training sessions are: exceptional, engaging and always leave the participants with ideas to improve the English curriculum in their school. Maddy’s love for English is infectious and is a central aspect of all of her courses. I have been truly inspired by Maddy’s courses and knowledge of the English curriculum.

As reading is a key focus for my school, I decided to arrange for Maddy to support us through an audit visit of reading across the school. Maddy attended my school for a whole day: observing lessons, providing feedback, and discussing our English curriculum. It was brilliant to have someone so knowledgeable to share strengths, areas for development, and challenges with staff. Maddy formed excellent relationships with the staff she observed; the staff really appreciated her input. The feedback Maddy gave in terms of areas for development for our school was clear and manageable. Since Maddy’s visit, we have implemented her ideas and feel that our curriculum is much stronger thanks to Maddy’s input. Thank you Maddy!
